A prevailing theme from the beginning here at Alter Ego has been to provide a vehicle for artists to express themselves. The Artist’s Syndicate has been developed to be that vehicle, to showcase and promote the raw talent of west coast artists.
The Syndicate exists to provide a creative and supportive environment for artists and to develop a network of talent that challenges the boundaries of expression.

THE ARTISTS
Conor Watts
At 24 years of age, Conor has recently completed a bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Montreal’s, Concordia University.
Prior to enrolling at Concordia, Conor had taken general post-secondary studies in Vancouver’s Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Throughout his studies, Conor has explored interests in drawing, painting, photography, writing, philosophy, and psychology, with private studies in music.
Conor primarily produces commissioned work, while also creating personal series intended for exhibition. His personal series typically describe a distorted reality – bordering on surreality – and explore the modeled, fluid textures provided by oil paint. His commissioned work is typically landscape, though he welcomes all subject matter.
Conor’s work has been exhibited in various locations throughout Montreal, and Vancouver.
